Can I ride my ebike in the rain?
The ebikes we sell at Florida Ebikes have been tested for water resistance and are more than capable of riding in the rain. Most models are rated to IPX5, meaning they are ready to ride in all conditions. Features like auto headlights and brake lights and turn signals help keep you safe and seen during adverse riding conditions.

Stopped in to learn about electric bikes and Brian was very helpful and informative. We got to test ride the bikes and ended up buying a pair of Big Sur Sport bikes. My wife and I had no idea what it was like to ride with pedal assist and until you do, its hard to explain! I thought you use the throttle and when you run out of battery pedal home. The pedal assist allows you to pedal as hard or easy as you want with 5 levels of assist and 7 gears. In the first week of riding, I hardly ever use the throttle except while taking off, then I just use the pedal assist.
I had an issue with the pedal assist on one of the bikes and they sent the mechanic to my home the next morning to adjust it. I was glad I hadn’t bought our bikes online! They also sell a different brand that competes with the price point of the popular ‘cheap online brands’ but with better quality parts. So if you are thinking of buying online, stop in to see this brand first.
While we were at the store we witnessed the compassion of the owner, Kathleen, as she helped an elderly man who had injured himself outside and was obviously suffering with dementia. She personally dropped everything and took him to urgent care because he had no family or friends to call. We had never met her before, but in that act of kindness we could tell we came to the right place! If you are looking for a bike or service on a bike, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a mobile repair done this afternoon by Brandon from Florida eBikes. The chattering noise coming from my brakes was inspected and diagnosed after a test ride by Brandon. He performed some adjustments on both the front and rear brakes and, at this point at least, the noise has stopped. Time will tell but I'm hoping that all is now well. In addition, Brandon also looked into a non-functioning rear light. After testing, his thought was that the light itself was at fault and a new unit would be ordered.
In summary, Florida eBikes sold me an Emojo trike that had a few problems but they have worked toward rectifying all issues to my satisfaction and we do appreciate everything Brandon did today as well as some prior work that another repairman, Kevin, had done.

After some research of e-bike sales shops in Sarasota, my Wife and I chose Florida e-bikes on Tamiami Trail. We stopped in and from the moment we arrived, we felt we made the right decision. It was a weekend and they were busy but a very nice sales person greeted us immediately. She asked what kind of riding we were looking to do and showed us an excellent assortment of e-bikes. She was extremely knowledgeable and knew the product line in detail. We were then introduced to the owner, she took the time to get familiar with our needs and had suggestions for us. She offered us test rides which we took her up on. At no time was there any pressure to sell us on one. We told her we wanted to go home and do further research on the bikes we saw and that we would return at a later date. She told us we were welcome back at any time to do some more test rides. We departed and due to some extended travel, did not return for a month. We decided to buy two of the bikes we test drove. It was a fast and easy process. We picked out a few accessories, they scheduled delivery and we got them a day later. We have now had them for close to a year and couldn’t be happier with our bikes and Florida e-bikes. Note: We recently had our bikes down by the water and they were blown over by a huge gust of wind, they sustained minor damage but were not ridable. We called Florida e-bike, they scheduled a pick up within a day or two, took one day to repair them and returned them the following day. The repair was performed for a surprisingly nominal cost. We can’t say enough about Florida e-bikes, we highly recommend them if you are looking to buy a high quality bike, at a great price with excellent support to back it up. Brian and Karen V.

My 2 Rad e-bikes bikes needed repair and this location was listed as an authorized repair shop. This is an owner operated shop and it showed. The staff were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable.
It was during the holidays so it took about a week to diagnose the issues with both bikes and another week or so to get parts in. The shop communicated well giving me updates along the way.
The location is convenient and easy to get into. The store was very clean very organized and well kept had a nice selection of E bikes for sale.
So far the repairs look great! I’d recommend them.

I’ve been shopping for an e-bike for about 2 years now and when I found Florida EBikes I was greeted warmly by the owner Kathleen. I came back a couple days later with my wife and Brian welcomed us showed a few bikes and had a huge data base of knowledge on the bikes. He offered test rides on a few different models and explained each bike and its features. When we found the bikes that we really liked he made the whole buying experience a very easy and pleasant deal. We absolutely love our bikes and have had a blast riding them I would recommend Florida EBikes to anyone looking to purchase or rent as they offer great bikes and plenty of free parking to adventure throughout the Sarasota and siesta key area. They have a warm friendly inviting showroom and are great people as they really care about their customers. Thank you !!!!

Such a wonderful experience at Florida e-bikes. They greet u wonderfully the min u step in the door. They have so many to chose from. The test drive was fun right behind the beautiful new store. Then personalized lesson on the bike. They filled out all warranty information. My husbands bikes was hand delivered a few days later to our home. It was the best experience ever. I have been to snooty bike shops but their love of the bike is sincere!

Had a major brake issue on my Super 73 and definitely needed a brake oil change in new brake pads. They completely hooked me up and were the coolest people I have ever got to talk with and just in time for a electric bike ride out Due to happen in a few days, as well as they have a good variety of Ebikes As well as highest quality, Kryptonite bike locks for maximum bike protection from theft

Great place to purchase an ebike. I have been riding for greater than ten years and have purchased 4 prior ebikes for myself and wife. I found the people friendly, knowledgeable, pleasant but not pushy. It took me three visits and test rides to settle on the big sur. At no time did I feel pressure to buy. When I ultimately bought the bike, I was very comfortable and confident in the decision. Followups for minor tweaks and questions have been met with continued support and encouragement.
I strongly recommend Florida EBikes for novices and experienced riders alike as a place to learn about and to purchase high quality products.

Not sure why my profile says Kevin smh my name is Stephanie. Anyway I went Into the bike shop last week and Brian (salesman) Brendon (mechanic, hope that’s how you spell it) were absolutely awesome. Super hospitable and both extremely informed about bikes. Brendon explained to me what exactly was wrong with the bike and how to avoid certain accidents. Even noticed when parts of the bike were lose ( probably saved my life lol ?). Brian was extremely nice. Offered me water while I waited ❣️ and gave some informed recommendations for a new bike. Most definitely will be buying my electric bike here. Love businesses with kind and good people. Highly recommend!

I have always wanted an electric bike However, I do not understand much about them. I was fortunate to come across Florida e-bikes and work with the wonderful staff there. They answered all my questions, personally went through their inventory and gave me feedback on the different bikes available. When I fell in love with a particular bike that had not yet been built, they asked me to give them an hour and put it together right there and then. I tested it outside on their track receiving helpful hints from the staff. They installed a softer bike seat, something for my phone and my water and even delivered the bike to my home that evening. I highly recommend this Bike store and their wonderful staff and owner .

Called at the last minute, Kathleen was so helpful. Told us to arrive the next morning and our bikes would be ready. She gave us great ideas of where to go on our E-bikes. Bikes were comfortable and easy to ride. We will definitely rent from Florida E-bikes again. So glad we were able to support local business.

We are so glad we decided to visit Florida Ebikes in Sarasota! My Husband and I had decided on purchasing Ebikes because we are both in our late 60's and wanted something to do for better health that was not as boring as walking, which we have been doing. Our friends had EBikes and we wanted to join them in riding. As soon as we met Kathleen we decided right then and there we would not look anywhere else. She was very accommodating and friendly and we knew we could trust her on our purchase. We had done our own research and decided on Mokwheel bikes. Now Kathleen was in process of moving into a new location but even as busy as she was she still helped us and kept in communication daily for 3 days and had our bikes waiting for us at her new location. That day of purchase we met Brian and some of her staff who were all so friendly and assisted us with the bike rack for our truck and getting the bikes safely and secured for our travel home. Brian gave us both test drives and gave me assurance after not riding a bike in over 30 years I could ride the bike and love it, he was right. We got the best deals on the purchase of the 2 bikes and they honored all the discounts and benefits that were on the Mokwheels website for the Labor day sale. So we know we made the right choice. Thanks to Kathleen and her staff again for making our purchase easy.

What a fantastic shop! Took my Bagi Bike to Brian. Walked in with it they greeted me immediately. Took my bike immediately and started working on it. They had the issue fixed in 35 minutes. Fixed other little things as well. That they didn’t charge me for. I felt very comfortable and reassured that i could bring it in anytime ..
The fast service there was the best I’ve seen in any bike shop. The extra 40 minute drive was well worth it.
I highly recommend Florida Bike Shop.

From the knowledge and attention we received from the moment we walked into the shop, bought two bikes, to being on the Cape Cod Bike path in Wellfleet MA (stuck with a problem) over the phone 1300 miles away… problem solved because of such outstanding customer service. What a TREASURE for Sarasota!!! If you don't own an ebike already these great people will make you feel very comfortable!! I recommend them to all my friends!! They love dogs there as well!! They are extremely reasonable on their prices and significantly LOWER than everyone else!! You will pay half what you expect to pay and want to tip them well because they are very friendly and helpful and generous with what they will do for you for free on top of what you are paying for. This is EXACTLY what community IS ABOUT !!! I cannot recommend them enough. FLORIDA EBIKES is the only place you need for ebike repairs and new ebikes!!!

FLORIDA E BIKES-Kathleen,Kevin and Brien were all very patient with 1st time e bike buyers. Example, I bought an e-bike and had Kathleen deliver it- well I did not like this particular e bike. Kathleen refunded my money picked up the bike(I really like this woman). I was to go back and purchased a second bike from the factory. They shipped it to E Bikes Sarasota.There they assembled the bike at a nominal price and I took delivery. I love my new Blix bike.I plan on having all my service and purchases Done with Kathleen at E BIKES Sarasota.What a great place to buy an E-Bike. Jack S

Ive bought many bikes in my life however the big sur is the best bike todate my kids love to ride them and enjoy going all over siesta key with them. I plan on buying more when the new stock arrives. Truly an amazing peddle assist and great riding bike. My kids love them!

Took my bike to another bike shop they tooks 3 weeks and didn’t fix a thing one excuse after another. Took my Ebike to Florida Ebike, they fixed it in 1 day and runs like a new bike, and everyone was nice and helpful! so happy thank you Florida Ebike !!

The husband and wife owners are totally into biking and very attentive and helpful especially to anyone exploring getting into or back into biking. I like these people so much that even bikes that they don't necessarily carry I want them minimally to setup any bike I own. After over 40 years since the last time I even got onto a bike I purchased a Mokwheel Obsidian that was like a "gateway" back into a sport that I forgot just how much I missed. Only after a few weeks I'm looking into a new and unique eBike.
I love going on excursions to places to eat with my new eBike.

Rented two e-bikes for a full day and rode the Legacy Trail down to Dona Bay (about 30 mi). Being able to ride into the wind with minimal effort was a great experience. Got back, charged for a few hours and rode to Siesta Key with my wife. Being able to bypass the traffic was a game changer. The owners were very nice and we were able to park our vehicle behind their shop for the day while we rode. Can't wait to do it again. Highly recommended!

First of all, let me start by saying everyone at the store has been great. And the bikes are awesome.
We purchased two large electric bikes, and they were assembled and delivered the next day. Outstanding, quick service. We used them right away, and we were blown away with how you can still get great exercise—AND, you can go so much farther in such a short time. It really opens up a huge radius around our home that we can now ride to in a reasonable amount of time.
We loved the e-bikes so much that we went back to the store several days later. We have a very large family and frequent visitors to the house, so we purchased more of the same bikes. Same great service. Assembled, ready, and delivered in a day.
In general, that’s amazing service. The week before Christmas? That’s unbelievable.
All the bikes are ready for a big holiday group arriving soon. Can’t wait to enjoy them with friends and family.
Highly recommend the shop. And a shout-out to Brian. He expertly handled everything above. ????

This is a great bike shop with a wide variety of bikes to choose from. I bought my Bagi bike from them over 2yrs ago and with over 4100 miles they have kept me rolling with their prompt service. I had researched the Ebike I wanted to buy & Florida Ebikes happened to sell them. The salesperson, Brian was excellent to work with and he had my bike all set up & ready to go when I purchased it. The owner agreed to match the price I had found on the internet. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for an ebike.

The staff was super helpful and did a great job helping me pick the correct bike for me.they did not just want to sell me a bike they wanted to sell me the RIGHT bike for ME. We were full of questions and Allan answered everyone. We bought 2 Bagi ebikes but we didn't test ride one of them and unfortunately when we got home, 1 of the bike's PAS was not working. We took it back and Allan exchanged it immediately. Customer service was outstanding. We spent the rest of the weekend riding them and having so much fun!
